Nursing homes can cost more than $7,000 a month!

Statistics indicate that 50% of those over the age of 60 will spend some time in rehabilitative or nursing home care. A long-term stay at a nursing home will impoverish just about anyone.  Having the right plan in place can protect your assets and your family’s wealth.

In the same way you would consult an accountant for financial information, you should consider consulting with a Medicaid Specialist to answer any questions regarding the Florida Medicaid Nursing Home program.

WE SIMPLIFY THE MEDICAID APPLICATION PROCESS!!

How We Make the Medicaid Application Process Simple

  1. Once you contact us, we will provide a free consultation to obtain the required information and begin the Medicaid eligibility process.

  2. An Elder Care Planning specialist will work directly with you throughout the entire process.  Should a meeting be required, we will meet you at a time and location that is most convenient to you.

  3. All documentation will be examined to look for any areas that may raise a flag at the Medicaid review.

  4. All information will be treated confidentially.

  5. If you choose to engage our services, we will open a case with the Department of Children and Families, calculate the monthly patient responsibility that will be owed to the Nursing Home, and provide the Nursing Home with all the information they need to place the case in Medicaid Pending status.

  6. The Medicaid Specialist will attend the Medicaid eligibility review and present the case to the Medicaid caseworker.

  7. You will receive a follow up contact informing you of the outcome of the case review and to request any additional information that may be needed. It will normally take 60-90 days to receive final approval from Medicaid. During this “pending” time you will continue to receive case updates.

  8. Once the case is approved, a closing letter will be sent to you outlining the specific steps required to maintain Medicaid eligibility for the applicant.

  9. You will always have access to our specialist during the process and up to one year after the approval is obtained.

Elder Care Planning stands by our commitment to obtain Medicaid eligibility for as long as it takes. We are here to answer all of your questions free of charge before you ever have to engage our services. Let your education in this process start with a phone call to Elder Care Planning.
